The journey begins early in the morning from Amritsar. You can hire a private taxi or a tempo traveller, depending on your group size and comfort preference. The road journey to Katra is approximately 650–700 km and takes around 10–12 hours. On the way, you can stop for lunch at roadside restaurants and enjoy scenic views along the route. A tempo traveller is especially convenient for families or groups as it provides ample space for luggage and comfort. Upon reaching Katra in the evening, check into your hotel, relax, and explore the local market. Dinner can be enjoyed at the hotel or at a nearby restaurant.
After an early breakfast, start the trek to the Vaishno Devi Temple. The trek is approximately 13 km one way, and you can opt for comfortable alternatives, such as a palki, pony ride, or battery-operated vehicles, if needed. After completing the darshan at the temple, take some time for lunch. Taxi and tempo traveller services are available in Katra to pick you up from your hotel and drop you near the base of the trek or after the darshan. Return to your hotel in Katra by evening, have dinner, and rest for the night.
On the third day, after breakfast, you can take a short detour to Patnitop for sightseeing and photography. Enjoy the serene natural beauty and spend some time at scenic points. Later, board your taxi or tempo traveller for the return journey to Amritsar. Stop for lunch along the way and continue the drive. By evening, you will reach Amritsar and be dropped off at your home or hotel, completing the tour.
