Char Dham Divine Trail Tour

Day 1: Amritsar to Haridwar (Approx. 400 km / 8–9 hrs)

The journey starts from Amritsar towards Haridwar, the gateway to the Char Dham Yatra. Enjoy scenic views of Punjab’s countryside en route. Upon arrival in Haridwar, check into your hotel and relax. In the evening, visit Har Ki Pauri to witness the mesmerizing Ganga Aarti on the banks of the sacred river. Overnight stay in Haridwar.

Day 2: Haridwar to Barkot (Approx. 220 km / 7–8 hrs)

After breakfast, drive towards Barkot, located at the foothills of Yamunotri. The route passes through Mussoorie and Kempty Falls, where you can enjoy short breaks and local snacks. On arrival in Barkot, check into your hotel and relax for the night. Your taxi or tempo traveller will stay with you throughout the route for any local sightseeing.

Day 3: Barkot to Yamunotri and back (Approx. 36 km drive + 6 km trek each way)

Early morning, drive to Jankichatti, the base for the Yamunotri trek. From there, trek (or hire a pony/doli) to the sacred Yamunotri Temple, dedicated to the Goddess Yamuna. After offering prayers and taking a holy dip in the thermal springs, return to Jankichatti and drive back to Barkot. Overnight stay in Barkot.

Day 4: Barkot to Uttarkashi (Approx. 100 km / 4 hrs)

After breakfast, proceed towards Uttarkashi, a spiritual town on the banks of the Bhagirathi River. Visit the Kashi Vishwanath Temple and local ashrams. Spend your evening exploring the town and preparing for the next leg of your Char Dham journey. Overnight stay in Uttarkashi.

Day 5: Uttarkashi to Gangotri and back (Approx. 100 km each way)

Early morning, drive towards Gangotri, the origin of the River Ganga. The road offers breathtaking views of the Himalayas and the flowing river. On arrival, visit the Gangotri Temple, take part in the rituals, and spend some peaceful time by the river. Later, return to Uttarkashi for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 6: Uttarkashi to Guptkashi (Approx. 220 km / 9 hrs)

After breakfast, drive towards Guptkashi, located near the Mandakini River. The route is scenic with panoramic mountain views and river crossings. On arrival, check into your hotel and rest. In the evening, visit the Ardh Narishwar Temple in Guptkashi. Overnight stay at Guptkashi.

Day 7: Guptkashi to Kedarnath (Approx. 30 km drive + 16 km trek)

Early morning, drive to Gaurikund, the base point for the Kedarnath trek. Begin your 16 km trek to Kedarnath (by foot, pony, or helicopter). Upon reaching Kedarnath Temple, one of the 12 Jyotirlingas of Lord Shiva, attend the evening aarti and seek blessings. Overnight stay in Kedarnath.

(Your taxi or tempo traveller will stay parked safely at Sonprayag/Gaurikund until your return.)

Day 8: Kedarnath to Guptkashi (Return Trek and Drive)

After early morning darshan, trek back to Gaurikund and drive to Guptkashi. Check into your hotel, have dinner, and rest after the spiritually uplifting experience at Kedarnath.

Day 9: Guptkashi to Badrinath (Approx. 190 km / 8–9 hrs)

After breakfast, proceed to Badrinath, the final dham of your pilgrimage. The drive passes through Joshimath and Pipalkoti, offering magnificent views of snow-capped peaks. On arrival, visit Badrinath Temple, Tapt Kund, and Mana Village (the last Indian village). Overnight stay in Badrinath.

Day 10: Badrinath to Rishikesh (Approx. 295 km / 9–10 hrs)

After morning darshan at Badrinath, begin your return journey to Rishikesh. The drive follows the Alaknanda River and offers several photo stops along the way. On reaching Rishikesh, check into your hotel and relax. In the evening, attend the Ganga Aarti at Parmarth Niketan or Triveni Ghat.

Day 11: Rishikesh to Amritsar (Approx. 450 km / 9–10 hrs)

After breakfast, depart from Rishikesh to Amritsar. On arrival, you will be dropped off at your preferred location—hotel, railway station, or airport. If time permits, you may visit the Golden Temple and Wagah Border before concluding your divine Char Dham journey.
